WG NCEU for Chapter 35 strengthens cooperation with the media

WG NCEU for Chapter 35 organized a working breakfast with journalists on 16 January 2024.

At the meeting, the previous results and future plans of the Working Group for Chapter 35 were first presented. Then, current topics within Chapter 35 and the process of normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina were discussed, as well as what we can expect in the future. Special attention was dedicated to the problems faced by the Serbian community in Kosovo, such as property issues, obtaining personal documents, the issue of establishing the Community of Serb Municipalities. They also talked about the reaction of the international community and their potential solutions for the normalization of relations between Belgrade and Priština.

These working meetings are an opportunity to further strengthen the relationship between the media and CSOs, members of the WG NCEU for Chapter 35, to encourage dialogue, as well as to establish or improve cooperation in terms of working on issues from Chapter 35.

The meeting was organized as part of the project "Support to Progress Monitoring in Chapter 35" implemented by InTER and financially supported by Sweden within the Belgrade Open School’s program “Civil Society Advancing Serbia's EU Accession Process – Europe ASAP".
