Via Ferrata Piva Officially Opened

461878735_854939740081710_2547115084881686936_n.jpg In the presence of the EU Ambassador to Montenegro, Mr Johann Sattler, the mayor of the municipality of Plužine, Mr Slobodan Delić, the mayor of Tutin Municipality Ms Selma Kučević, InTER's Director Dragiša Mijačić, Piva Nature Park's Director Ivan Doderović, and other dignitaries, a new tourist attraction - Via Ferrata Piva - was officially opened.

The construction of Via Ferrate Piva is an example of excellent cooperation between the municipalities of Plužine and Tutin, InTER and the Piva Nature Park in the use of funds from the EU Cross-Border Cooperation Program for the development of tourism potential in their local areas.

The new tourist attraction in the Piva river canyon was built as part of the project "Via Ferrata CLimb to Unveil Beauty of Piva and Ibar (Via Ferrata CLUB)" which is co-financed by the European Union within the financial instrument of pre-accession assistance (IPA II) through the IPA Cross-Border Cooperation Program Serbia-Montenegro 2014-2020. Via Ferrata Đurđevica in the village of Ribariće, municipality of Tutin, which is currently under construction and whose completion is expected soon, will also be built within the same project. The contract for co-financing with the funds of the European Union was signed with the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Serbia - Sector for Contracting and Financing of Programmes from the funds of the European Union. The project is jointly implemented by the Municipality of Plužine, the Municipality of Tutin and InTER.
