RG NCEU for Chapter 35 at a working breakfast with journalists

IMG_3211.jpg With a goal to present the work so far and future plans of the NCEU Working Group for Chapter 35: Other Issues - Kosovo, a working breakfast with journalists was organized in Belgrade today. Special attention was paid to the presentation of the key findings of the analysis “Serbian Cultural and Religious Heritage in Kosovo: from Ahtisaari's Special Zones to the Final Status” written by Igor Novakovic, PhD (ISAC Fund) and Stefan Surlic (Center for Interdisciplinary Studies of the Balkans, Faculty of Political Science).

Also, a discussion was initiated on the role of churches in the process of normalization, which is the name of the second analysis developed within the WG “Position and Role of Religious Communities and Churches in the Process of Reconciliation and Normalization of Relations between Belgrade and Pristina”, written by Aleksandra Popovic (Konrad Adenauer Foundation). Adenauer) and Jelena Jorgačević Kisić (Forum for Religion, Media and Memory Culture).

The present members of the Working Group, each in their own field, also presented their work and views within Chapter 35.

These meetings are an opportunity to strengthen the relations between the media and the members of the Working Group, to encourage dialogue, as well as to establish or improve cooperation in the work on issues from Chapter 35.

The event was supported by the Open Society Foundation, Serbia, within the project supporting the work of the Working Group of the National Convention on the European Union for Chapter 35, implemented by the Institute for Territorial Economic Development (InTER).
