Works on the construction of Via Ferrata

Last weekend, member of the Alpinist Organisation of Belgrade finalized the works on mapping of the Via Ferrata route. Via Ferrata is a special type of mountain path which contains metal stairs and steel rope that enable a safe climb to the most inaccessible mountain tops.

The construction of Via Ferrata was supported by the Embassy of Finland and the Swiss PPSE Program, and it is implemented by the Institute for Territorial Economic Development - InTER, the Municipality of Zubin Potok and the organization Outdoor In. USAID Empower has recently supported the project with the purchase of 20 sets of equipment that will be used for Via Ferrata.
